From CBN on Israel

“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint…” Luke 18:1 KJV (Certainly, especially those in Israel pray continually for peace for their nation. We also keep up our prayers for them.)

from: Gordon Robertson
President and CEO, CBN

After three relentless weeks of war, the strain on Israel and her people is deepening.

Combined missile and rocket assaults from Iran and Hezbollah continue daily. Though Israel’s air defense systems—Iron Dome, David’s Sling, and Arrow—are intercepting roughly 90% of incoming threats, the remaining strikes are taking a heartbreaking toll.

So far, between 15 and 28 civilians have been killed.

More than 3,200 people have been hospitalized since the conflict began. In the last 24 hours alone, dozens were wounded—including 20 to 39 people injured when a missile scored a direct hit on a building in Dimona.

Nearly 825 others have been hurt simply trying to reach bomb shelters in time.

The danger is constant. The exhaustion is real.

Hezbollah continues daily barrages from Lebanon, striking northern cities like Ma’alot-Tarshiha, Karmiel, and Haifa. In a recent escalation, sirens were triggered as far south as Ashkelon—far beyond previous attack ranges.

The damage across Israel is staggering:

  • Nearly 31,000 buildings have been damaged
  • A kindergarten in southern Tel Aviv was hit
  • A synagogue near Jerusalem sustained damage
  • A building collapsed in southern Israel
  • A missile struck a building in Dimona near a sensitive facility
  • At Ben Gurion Airport, shrapnel damaged aircraft sparking a fire
  • Approximately 4,000 vehicles have been destroyed

These are not just statistics.

Throughout her history, Israel has faced determined enemies and relentless threats. Yet she has endured—standing firm in the land God promised in Genesis 12:7:
“To your descendants, I will give this land.”

But endurance does not lessen the human cost.

They represent families displaced. Children living under trauma. Elderly citizens struggling to reach shelters. Communities trying to function amid constant alarms.

And yet, through it all, Israel stands.

Families are exhausted after weeks of interrupted sleep. Parents are searching for ways to calm frightened children. Thousands are recovering from injuries. Many have lost homes, vehicles, and livelihoods.

In these challenging and uncertain days, Israel needs your support now more than ever.

Your gifts today will help supply:

  • Food boxes and prepared meals for displaced families and vulnerable seniors
  • Temporary shelter for those forced from damaged homes
  • Blankets, clothing, and supplies to replace what was lost
  • Hygiene items and medicines for those sheltering in place
  • Trauma care for children, parents, and the elderly
  • Rapid-response aid as new emergencies arise

And, earnestly…

  • Pray for protection over Israel’s cities and citizens.
  • Pray for those who are grieving and those who are recovering.
  • Pray for first responders and medical teams.
  • Pray for the leaders and for peace across the entire region.

Isaiah 40:1 calls us clearly:
“Comfort, comfort My people,” says your God.

Update from Mike Evans

Shalom, shalom from your home in the Holy City, your Friends of Zion Center. This great lighthouse of Christian love only exists because friends like you have made it possible. And Israel so urgently needs it right now. The briefings and updates I’m getting confirm the serious nature of the threats. They are much worse than what the news is reporting, and the Jewish people need our prayers and help right now as they are under attack. As the Houthis in Yemen continue to launch long-range missiles, the warning sirens here in Jerusalem go off again and again. Each time this happens, hundreds of thousands of people have to go to bomb shelters just in case. I don’t think I’ll ever get used to hearing those sirens, but they are a powerful reminder of just how great the needs of the Jewish people are right now

Today I’m asking you to do something great for God by comforting the suffering people of Israel. There are thousands who are still homeless…thousands mourning the loss of a loved one…thousands struggling to just get enough food to eat…hundreds of widows and orphans. The suffering in Israel is worse than anything I’ve seen in 50 years of ministry. These precious people need our help right now.

Your support of the Jerusalem Prayer Team today allows us to comfort the people of Israel who have survived the terrorist attacks, to continue to purchase and deliver food, medicine, clothing, and other necessities of life for the poor Holocaust survivors and refugees of Ukraine, to continue to operate the Friends of Zion Museum, to stand up and speak out for Israel, and to meet urgent humanitarian needs among the poor Jewish people living in Israel. Thank you so much for being part of this vital worldwide prayer movement.

Father,

Remind us to pray daily for those where there’s war…
that they won’t have to live with such danger any more.

At this very moment, please protect those souls,
who are serving courageously in military roles.

By Your Spirit, convert people who have evil intent…
revealing to them the Lord Jesus, whom You have sent.

Thank You for having sent Your Son, as the Savior for our sins…
Now, for anyone who receives Him, a brand new life begins.

in His (Jesus’) name, we pray…

Mike Evans Update

Please pray for my friend of almost 45 years, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. When I met with him in Washington a couple of weeks ago, I could see the strain of dealing with the war and the many threats facing Israel. He needs special strength and wisdom from God. And I want to tell you how deeply appreciative he is of all that you are doing to help his country in this crisis hour.

Please pray for him and the leaders of Israel in these difficult days. One of the reasons “Bibi” is so hated by so many people is his unflinching moral clarity and his willingness to identify evil when so many prefer to pretend it doesn’t exist. Decisions are being made in Jerusalem right now that will have a dramatic effect on the future…

Today I’m asking you to send a special gift for the suffering people of Israel. There are thousands who are still homeless…thousands mourning the loss of a loved one…thousands struggling to just get enough food to eat. A ceasefire does not mean the end of cold, hunger, despair, worry, or grief. They need our help right now.

Please pray for the leaders of Israel, especially my friend Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for him, charging him with war crimes. This outrageous action is an attempt to stop Israel from defending itself against the ongoing attacks by Iran’s terrorist proxies. The dark evil of anti-Semitism today is not just found in mosques, but in boardrooms across Europe and around the world…and we must stand against it.

Today I’m asking you to send a Christmas gift for the widows and orphans of Israel. There are thousands of them. So many husbands were killed in the attack on October 7. So many fathers have been killed fighting terrorists in the IDF. There are funerals almost every day. These precious people need everything—housing, clothing, furniture, food, baby formula, medicine, coats, and so much more. There is also an urgent need for portable bomb shelters for vulnerable families as well. They cost $20,000 each, and we want to do as much as we can. We must raise $220,000 for these outreaches before Christmas and Hanukkah, which starts on December 25th this year.

Update/Israel

…from Mike Evans

Please pray for the safety of the Jewish people. Members of Iran’s radical Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said they are preparing another attack with a barrage of up to 1,000 ballistic missiles fired at Israel. That would be five times more than hit Israel when I was there recently. Many Israelis would die. Please pray–this is urgent.

…a few days ago…

In eleven days, I will be going back to Israel. Yesterday saw still more attacks on innocent Jewish people living in the northern part of the country. More than 120 rockets and drones were fired from Lebanon, striking homes and businesses. According to early reports, at least five more people were injured. This is the daily reality of life in Israel now, and I’m asking you to help us send a message to the suffering Jewish people that they are not alone.

Half of the children in Tzfat (Safed)—about 3,000 precious little ones—do not have adequate bomb shelters at their schools. The mayor, my friend Yossi Kakon, has begged for help—not just for the children, but for the elderly Russian Jews in his town who are living in tiny and cramped bomb shelters. I am preparing to return to Israel, and I need your help so that we can meet as many of these needs as we can.

1,200 people were murdered on October 7, 2023
101 hostages are still held captive by Hamas in Gaza
Over 700 IDF soldiers have been killed

Father, we do pray again for those living in Israel. Protect them and the IDF military with angelic help amidst the fighting and draw people on both sides to yourself. We pray for the families of those who have died, especially those who died in protecting their small country. We pray for healing for the wounded… in Jesus’ name Amen

Continued prayer…

We continue to pray for the serious situation and the innocent people on both sides of the war begun suddenly by trained terrorists upon Israel in October, 2023; and we certainly pray against evil hatred of the Jewish people.

In the midst of war, a work of God is being raised…in which you can participate. Minister Billye Brim and her partners are building this prayer and Bible study center in Israel in the Galilee. …and from the Jerusalem Prayer Team:

The war in Ukraine is not just being fought between armies. Russia’s attacks are directed at the civilian population as well. This week, Russian officials boasted that this month they have attacked 80% of Ukraine’s traditional power plants and 50% of the hydroelectric plants. Much of the country is without reliable power, and the civilians are suffering greatly. We must do all we can to help these precious people.  To support the Jerusalem Prayer Team as they offer support, through prayer and materially, to those in Ukraine and Israel, visit: http://www.jerusalemprayerteam.org

From there, the following was copied:

There is no greater need today than to support Israel with our daily prayers. I ask you to join me in prayer every day for Jerusalem and the nation of Israel.

“God of Heaven and earth, protect the schools and the school children who are being targeted by enemy terrorists. Watch over the families who trust in Your name. Provide jobs and sufficient income for every family and reveal to them that it is by Your mercy and grace alone so they may come to believe in You, the One True God and Your Son Messiah Yeshua, in Jesus’ Name!”

“I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in Whom I trust.’ Surely He will save you from the fowler’s snare and from deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day.” Psalm 91:2-5

In Support of Israel

You can stay informed on what Eagle Mountain International Church is doing to aid Israel in these days. Yesterday, Pastor George Pearsons spoke on the disastrous consequences of supporting any dividing of Israel. Please continue to pray for Israel; and anyone can give towards aid and hear the message at: http://www.emic.org

Passing this along…

Today three dozen Jewish children are in classrooms at your Friends of Zion Center in Jerusalem. Their homes are in Sderot by the Gaza border, and it is not safe for them to return home yet. So these refugee children are having their kindergarten classes in our buildings. This is just one of the amazing ways you are helping the suffering people of Israel, but there is so much more that needs to be done. We urgently need to raise $135,000 to continue our outreaches to the victims of the terror attacks.

God has brought us together “for such a time as this.” Today I am asking you to send a special offering out of your love for the Lord to meet the urgent needs of the suffering people of Israel. During Hanukkah and Christmas, we hosted survivors and families of the victims of the terror attack at your Friends of Zion Center. But there are still so many others who need our help, and we can only say yes to them if you first say yes.

More than 100,000 Israelis are still homeless because of the war, and thousands of them are living in unspeakable hell as widows and orphans because of the massacre on October 7. They are under a lot of pressure and have nothing, no husband, no home, no clothes, absolutely nothing except bills and babies. These needs are absolutely urgent. Your gift will literally save many lives. Please be as generous as you can.

Your support of the Jerusalem Prayer Team today allows us to purchase food, medicine, clothing, and other necessities of life for the poor Holocaust survivors, as well as to continue to operate the Friends of Zion Museum, to stand up and speak out for Israel, and to meet urgent humanitarian needs among the poor Jewish people in Israel and Ukraine. Thank you so much for being part of this vital worldwide prayer movement.
