I’ve come across your path today, and I may not know your name; but though we’re not acquainted, I’d like to speak of Jesus just the same. He knows the details of your life–anything you’re going through; yes, even if you don’t know Him, He knows all about you.
I’ve found Him to be a faithful God, Who I know in a personal way. He desires to help each person intimately–all we have to do is pray. For those who’ve put their trust in Him, guidance becomes very sure. His will is good and perfect, coming from a heart that’s loving and pure.
If you’re facing worries, never despair–the name of Jesusis a strong tower—to run into for help and wisdom, which flow richly from that Name’s power. And at the name of Jesus, one day, every knee will bow; but God’s Spirit is moving every day, seeking all who will honor Him now.

Faces—you see them everywhere you go, having two eyes, a mouth, and a nose, although each one is different except for a twin— Then personalities differ, despite being such close kin.
Just look at your arms, your feet, legs, and knees. You’re wonderfully made; and I’ve found it to please My creative ability—and you won’t come unglued, for I formed you in the womb and your life then ensued.
And inside each person I have given a soul; to carry out My plans, each life has a unique role. If you need further evidence, just consider your own hand— with its fingerprints designed just for you by My command.
Each snowflake is made to have an intricate pattern, and assorted planets are out there, like Mars or like Saturn. The oceans with waters I’ve given are vast— trees, mountains, and flowers by My hand were cast.
You see, the heavens are telling the glory of God; My handiwork’s proclaimed therein—yet it’s odd that some in this world want to say My existence should be denied or challenged with strong resistance.
“Man alone is master,” they proclaim, but deny that trusting in a greater Master is really the heart’s cry. And for those who say this world has merely evolved, they haven’t yet realized around Whom it’s revolved.
Reflected as in a mirror, My image became more clear when I sent My Son, Jesus, to save man from sin and fear. He spoke to all of the Father, as you can see in My Word; and from Genesis to Revelation, I’ve desired it all to be heard.

…the following is a little contemplation on what I envision the Lord might say to someone who just placed their faith in Him…
To My mind, your life without Me was like being in miry clay; but I kept My hope that you’d respond to My love one day.
Where you had been didn’t matter so much, for I knew that you were in need of My touch.
Ever so gently I drew you away–I knew this would happen if you would just pray.
By the power of My Spirit you opened your heart, and now, through My grace, you have gotten a new start.
That person you were has actually died; a new life’s begun due to “Christ crucified.”
So rejoice in My love as I do in yours. Share it with others despite troubles or wars,
for I have room for so many through heaven’s open doors. And from out of heaven’s windows, My love surely pours–
down to the miry clay–or wherever it may…find people and lead them out to My way.

Like other people, I’d heard some stories about the man named Jesus. He’d done unheard-of miracles and had lived a life that was upright and clean.
So, I never thought I’d arrive in Jerusalem at such a terrible time, of seeing Him being brutally led to His own crucifixion…that was the scene.
It seemed incomprehensible that His acts of compassion were being “rewarded” with this punishment to which He was going.
I could see that He was becoming too weak to bear the heavy cross; He’d obviously been scourged, and blood from the stripes was flowing.
Suddenly, I was pressed into service by some of the Roman soldiers. I was ordered to carry His cross, in His stead, as His strength was depleted.
Had He done something criminal that I hadn’t heard of in His recent past? I didn’t know, but the mocking and reviling were being repeated.
Of course, I didn’t appreciate being singled out for such a despicable task. It seemed obvious to me that I’d been in the wrong place at the wrong time.
But something in the eyes of this Jesus, who staggered beside me, reflected kindness; and I sensed something noble or majestic—nothing of crime.
After reaching the destination, I couldn’t bear to watch the proceedings. If He’d been wrongly accused, there was nothing I could have done to stop the event.
So I left; but, later, darkness came over the land, and an earthquake caused tombs to open. Some people were reported as having been raised from the dead after the temple curtain was rent.
After all that had happened, a centurion and other guards declared that, truly, Jesus was the Son of God. Perhaps my unchosen role in this—being singled out—had, instead, been a divine appointment.
A great many people were recipients of Jesus’ ministry, and believed that He was who He said He was. That day lives large in my memory; and His disciples are saying that His Name is God’s healing and saving ointment.

One of Jesus’ disciples, Peter, regarding a man made well by the name of Jesus, spoke to the rulers, elders, and scribes gathered in Jerusalem:
“…let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead—by this name this man stands here before you in good health. He is the stone which was rejected by you, the builders, but which became the chief corner stone. And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:10-12 NASB
“And Jesus was going about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.

“Then He said to His disciples, The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”

There wasn’t any kind of sickness or disease which Jesus couldn’t cure. Today, He’s still alive; and, of His mighty healing power, we can be equally sure.
Jesus felt compassion for the multitudes, knowing that they were downcast and distressed. Like sheep without a shepherd, they were in need of His touch to be blessed.
It’s still the same in the world today–there’s need for healing and protection, even from any plague. But of greatest need is healing for the soul–as the ability to know God, for many people, has seemed vague.
Jesus said the harvest is plentiful and that we’re to pray for workers to bring it in before the night. And we ourselves can answer the call to share with others, near or far, about His love and light.
Yes, “like sheep without a shepherd” is descriptive of multitudes still today. Open their eyes, heavenly Father, to the Lord Jesus, as their healer, Savior, and Shepherd. This, for them, we pray.

According to the word of the Lord, the prophet, Elijah, journeyed to a brook, which was called Cherith, east of the Jordan–and from its waters he took.
God told him to look to the ravens, for His provision of meat and bread. Both in the morning and in the evening, Elijah was thereby fed.
But there was no rain in the land, for Elijah had prayed for its delaying–to prove that his was the true God, not Baal, as King Ahab was saying.
The waters of the brook didn’t last then, so he needed again to move. God told him to go to Zarephath, where His provision again He would prove.
Elijah saw there a woman gathering sticks, a widow, as God had said. He called to her, asking for water. Then, he also asked her for bread.
She replied she had only a little flour in a bowl and a little oil in a jar. The sticks were for a fire to cook a bread cake, which wouldn’t go very far.
She had thought she and her son would eat it and then prepare to die. To her surprise, Elijah said that was the reason that God had sent him by.
He told her God wanted to provide for her, and her flour and oil wouldn’t fail. Sharing with him first, as a prophet of God, was all that it would entail.
So she did as Elijah had told her, serving the food first to him and then her son. She believed and trusted in God, that their lives weren’t over and done.
Day followed day and they always had meals–her supply was not diminished. It’s a Biblical lesson of security through faith–we’re blessed before God is finished.
During Jesus’ ministry, a little boy’s lunch, of fishes and loaves that seemed few, became enough when blessed by Him; and He blesses giving the same today, too.

There are many Christian ministries (one’s own church, first) that are “good ground” (proclaiming the gospel) in which to sow seed, mixing faith with your giving. The Biblical account about the widow of Zarephath, above, is an example of the faithfulness of God in our lives when we give into the gospel.
“While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” Genesis 8:22
A sunrise doesn’t occur ‘til after many hours of night…but then it begins to appear with ever-increasing light!
Likewise, that very miracle which seems to be delayed, will dawn for you if you don’t lose faith in the promises God has made.
Remember your part is believing with your heart, with your voice confessing—that you’ve spoken to the mountain in Jesus’ name—it can’t stand in the way of your blessing.
An important fact to remember and voice is that the devil is defeated. Whenever a negative thought casts doubt, that fact should be firmly repeated.
So, patience, praise, and the joy of the LORD are needed in the nighttime hour…before that miracle dawn breaks forth. At work within us is God’s power!

If your world seems to be in turmoil, and you’re experiencing trouble or strife, it would be beneficial to remember the Christmas tale, “It’s a Wonderful Life!”
Is there a “Mr. Potter” in your days, who has been greedy and domineering, while you’ve been working hard to do what’s right…and to be God-fearing?
If things have come to a head, and you think there’s no way through, remember how the angel, Clarence, showed George Bailey a thing or two.
George had to rescue him from drowning, which took his mind off his own woes. Then Clarence “showed” him Bedford Falls, if it hadn’t had him to fight its foes.
Instead of a family-friendly town, it had become degraded, far below…the standard of a great place to live, through which good things could flow.
And the people who were important to him had lives that weren’t complete, simply because he hadn’t been there in Bedford Falls for them to meet.
At the end of the visitation by the angel, George realized the joy of just being alive. Likewise, we’ve got God and the angels despite problems with which we strive.
George’s friends came through, as well, with appreciation for things he’d done. As the Bible says, God will complete the work in us that He’s already begun.

The historic country of Israel is where Jesus once walked and taught, as well as having been the place where His many miracles were wrought.
Today, His followers make pilgrimages there, believing that they will find, a sensing still of His presence and memories of a very special kind.
They want to walk where the Lord Jesus walked and sail on Galilee’s sea, visit Calvary’s site—then go to where His empty tomb is said to be.
They picture Jesus turning water into wine or observing the Passover feast, teaching the Beatitudes on the mountain, or causing fish and loaves to be increased.
This land is where the Lord healed lepers or those who were blind or lame; and Jerusalem is where He told His disciples to wait to receive of the Holy Spirit’s flame.
The city of Jerusalem, over which Jesus wept, was a prominent city of His day; and its importance to the heart of God has certainly not diminished today.
Jesus wept for those who didn’t recognize that, through Him, scripture was being fulfilled. God had sent Him to be the solid rock of one’s life, upon which every believer should build.
Today, many of Jewish descent are returning to make their home in this land, all of which has been foretold in prophecy, fulfilling what God has planned.

So many religions speak of various ways to address pleasing God all of your days.
Five times a day, you could be down on your knees, with prayers to the god you hope to please.
But, really, these things are ritual merely and can’t please Him, no matter if done so very sincerely.
But there is a way to come to God, and it’s by looking to the road that Jesus has trod.
He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He paved the way for you through much strife…
released upon Him as He went to the cross, where He suffered in pain so you wouldn’t be lost
to the God who loves you and calls to you now to embrace His Son, Jesus, to Whom, one day, every knee will bow.
But only grace, through faith, is involved—all works are in vain. Through Jesus’ righteousness, our salvation is made plain.
You may want to fall to your knees when you recognize all that was done by a God who loved so greatly, He gave His only Son.
