One Lamb, the “I AM”

“And God said to Moses, ‘I AM WHO I AM;’ and He said, ‘Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” Exodus 3:14

“Jesus said to them, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I AM.’”
John 8:58

“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, ‘Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!’” John 1:29

“He was despised and forsaken of men, a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and like one from whom men hide their face, He was despised and we did not esteem Him. Surely our griefs He Himself bore, and our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed. All of us like sheep have gone astray. Each of us has turned to his own way; but the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him. He was oppressed and he was afflicted. Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, and like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, so He did not open His mouth.” Isaiah 53:3-7

One Lamb, the “I AM”

Complete redemption is every person’s need, and there is just One Lamb, who was silent before His accusers–though He was, and is, the great “I AM.”

All of us, like sheep, have gone astray, but never did this One Lamb. He kept God’s Laws perfectly, while our own “righteousness” is a sham.

One Lamb bore our sins and sicknesses; we can look to Him still today. For as in when He walked the earth, He doesn’t want it any other way.

One Lamb, one sacrifice, alone, was sufficient on the cross at Calvary’s hill. There’s no other than this Lamb of God–there’s no need to be seeking still.

The Almighty God Himself ordained great grace through His One Lamb. Thank you, Jesus, for having humbled Yourself for us, despite being the great “I AM.”

P. A. Oltrogge

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” John 3:16-17

“Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:5-11

“…And all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment…” Isaiah 64:6

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

“…knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver and gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.” 1 Peter 1:18-19

“Bless the Lord, oh my soul, and forget none of His benefits; Who pardons all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases.” Psalm 103:3

“Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me shall not hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.’” John 6:35

“Again therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the light of the world; he who follows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life.” John 8:12

I am the door; if anyone enter through Me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal, and kill, and destroy; I came that they might have life and might have it abundantly.” John 10:9-10

I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.” John 10:11

“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies.” John 11:25

“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.” John 14:6

I am the true vine, and My Father is the vine-dresser.” John 15:1

“Philip said to Him, ‘Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.’

“Jesus said to him, ‘Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.'” John 14:8-10

“By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.  And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world.  Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.” 1 John 4:13-15

Considering this wonderful work of the Lord

…praying in tongues is certainly a mighty work of the Lord….

“When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

“And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven.  And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans? And how is it that we hear, each in our own language in which we were born? Parthians and Medes and Elamites, those dwelling in Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya adjoining Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabs—we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.” Acts 2:1-11

(See all of Acts 2)

“Later He (Jesus) appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.'” Mark 16:14-18

“Now in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.”  Romans 8:26-27 NASB

See 1 Corinthians 14…on prophecy and tongues

________________________

The following are simple notes that were taken from a message on praying in tongues given at Covenant Family, a church listed below. It explains…

Praying in tongues helps you to pray longer…to pray much…without ceasing….to pray without words…

tongues are a strong avenue for prayer, communicating with God

helps you in overcoming the flesh…

praying in tongues causes you to pray beyond your own thinking….the Holy Spirit does perfect praying…

In John 7, Jesus’ brothers did not believe in Him… They basically were saying “Go to Judea and prove Yourself there…” but Jesus only was guided by His Father’s direction and timing…

God’s plans for our lives are timing dependent… We must seek the Lord on it… Praying in tongues helps us synchronize with God’s timing…

In Acts 16:6-10, the Holy Spirit forbade or blocked certain routes… Some translations say “the Spirit of Jesus”… That night Paul had a vision…directing him to go to Macedonia… The vision gave him the map or plan…

Holy Ghost prayer will get you to where you’ll know for sure….(God’s direction in any matter of life)

Praying in tongues makes us sensitive to God’s plan(s)….

You dictate when the utterance comes… It will give us boldness in sharing the Lord…

Peter, on the day of Pentecost, shared with the people regarding the filling of the Holy Spirit… “This is that, which was spoken by the prophet Joel.” (Acts 2:14-21)

Referenced above, the people had said, “We hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.” A wonderful work of God is praying in tongues… (3,000 came to know the Lord, …from Acts 2)

In Acts 3, the man at the Beautiful Gate was healed….(5,000 came to the Lord). Peter and John were taken into custody, then were released and came to their own companions and prayed… Acts 4:29-31: “‘Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.’ And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.”

We are to be overflowing with the Holy Ghost. The end time is a prophesying generation…

Matthew 26:69-75 relates Peter’s denial about knowing Jesus. But he went on to win souls after he was filled with the Holy Spirit…

Praying in tongues is getting drunk in the new wine (the Holy Ghost)…

Drink the Spirit of God… Use “draws” of Him…from the well, through speaking/praying in tongues… You’ll start feeling His presence….

In Acts 19:1-7, Paul at Ephesus found some disciples and asked them “‘Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?’ So they said to him, ‘We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.”… And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied. Now the men were about twelve in all.”

Preachers with most notable miracles (of healing) are certainly always baptized in the Holy Ghost.

Praying in tongues…from 1 Corinthians 14:15 …spirit and understanding… you’re blessing God… “What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding.”

Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”

Commune with the Lord daily…speaking in other tongues… Purpose in your heart to start praying in tongues…

Then (after the message) came a Word from the Lord on how He has ordained, by such, to work through His people…

Declare the Works of the Lord…

“Blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust,
And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works
Which You have done;
And Your thoughts toward us
Cannot be recounted to You in order;
If I would declare and speak of them,
They are more than can be numbered.” Psalm 40:4-5

“But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all Your works.” Psalm 73:28

“In the day of my trouble I will call upon You, For You will answer me. Among the gods there is none like You, O Lord; Nor are there any works like Your works.” Psalm 86:7-8

“Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! For He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness.” Psalm 107:8-9

“I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” Psalm 118:17

When we declare the works of the Lord over any situation,
we’re applying the greatest power…of the Lord of all creation!

In earth, the sky, and seas, His wonderful works are displayed…
and His Word is at work within our lives the moment we have prayed.

Hold on to what God says; keep saying it, and this will keep you on course. . . WHILE IT RELEASES HIS POWER! (Quote from a message by Dutch Sheets)

“The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry.” Psalm 34:15

“He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” 1 John 3:8

“In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.” Colossians 2:11-15

“I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ…” Philippians 1:3-6

“For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13 KJV

“For it is [not your strength, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13 AMP

“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” words of Jesus, in Luke 10:19

“Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” James 4:7

“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4

“The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. This was the Lord’s doing; It is marvelous in our eyes.” Psalm 118:22-23 (Jesus is our Cornerstone!)

“For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth.” Psalm 139:13-15 NASB

“For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:14-21

“And he (Jesus) saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!” Matthew 8:26-27 KJV

“But I have a greater witness than John’s; for the works which the Father has given Me to finish—the very works that I do—bear witness of Me, that the Father has sent Me.” words of Jesus in John 5:36

“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11

The Trinity

“For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spiritand these three are one.” 1 John 5:7 NKJV

It’s said that St. Patrick used the shamrock, which has leaves of three,
as an illustration to the Irish people of God’s holy Trinity.

Just as a shamrock is comprised of three separate leaves, but is one yet–
the almighty God of the Bible is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Shamrocks have been associated with “luck,” but God’s promises are sure.
While shamrocks cannot last, God’s loving kindness will forever endure.

Jesus is the Second Person in the Trinity, as stated in 1 John 5:7 (Jesus is the Word) and as sung in the worship song, “Alpha and Omega”…

Words to the song, Alpha and Omega
from Revelation 21

I heard a great voice out of Heaven saying
“Behold the tabernacle of God is with men
He shall dwell within them
They shall be His people
And Almighty God will be with them”

“He shall wipe away all tears from their eyes
There shall be no more death
Neither sorrow nor crying and no more pain
The former things have all passed away”

He that sat upon the throne said
“Behold, I make all things new”
He said unto me, “Write these words
For they are faithful and true”

It is done
It is done

Enter into God’s Kingdom

Yes, Christians, in every walk of life, are working to persuade…that “the way” to eternal life for every person has been made.

Because of Jesus’ life, ministry, death and resurrection–through Him, our Father God sees any believer in perfection.

And you don’t have to take one Christian’s word alone, for there’ve been many testimonies that conclusively have shown…

that Jesus is alive! His Father is still giving time to decide, to accept His invitation, which is going out worldwide…

to be a part of His kingdom through Jesus, His spotless Lamb–an invitation very graciously extended by the great “I AM.”

Please respond as soon as you can; one thing unknown is the exact date–of when things will come to a close, so it’s very wise not to wait.

There are really just two kingdoms, one of darkness and one of light. Come into the kingdom of God’s dear Son, the only choice that’s right.

P. A. Oltrogge

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” Jesus’ words, John 3:16-17

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” Jesus’ words, John 5:24

“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’” John 14:6

“Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: ‘Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.'” John 17:1-3

“And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” 1 John 5:11-12 NIV

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

“Therefore, since we know the fear of the Lord [and understand the importance of obedience and worship], we persuade people [to be reconciled to Him]. But we are plainly known to God [He knows everything about us]; and I hope that we are plainly known also in your consciences [your God-given discernment].” 2 Corinthians 5:11 AMP

(“Because we understand our fearful responsibility to the Lord, we work hard to persuade others. God knows we are sincere, and I hope you know this, too.” 2 Corinthians 5:11 NLT)

“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9

“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” Jesus, Matthew 24:36-37

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.” 1 Peter 2:9-10

Using our authority, to keep the devil driven…

…the authority of the believer, proclaimed by Jesus Himself, is very important, but, for many, probably hasn’t been emphasized, taken hold of, or practiced enough. However, it is being taught more frequently now by many Christian ministries.

“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19 NKJV

“Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” James 4:7 NKJV

“Blessed be the Lord out of Zion, Who dwells in Jerusalem! Praise the Lord!”  Psalm 135:21

_________________________

As believers, we are the Good Shepherd’s very beloved sheep,

yet we’ve been given authority from Him to use that’s very DEEP.

So, I can say, because I’m Jesus’ loved and blood-bought lamb,

I have power and authority from Him–who is the great “I AM.”

The devil walks about, the Bible says, like a roaring lion…

but we have authority over him, as stated by Jesus, the Lord of Zion.

We must resist the devil with “It is written” followed by a scripture verse…

as Jesus Himself did, for we, His disciples, are delivered from this world’s curse.

And it isn’t just some of satan’s power that’s said to be obliterated,

but authority over “ALL the power of the enemy” is how it’s clearly stated.

So, while it’s important to lean on the Good Shepherd’s tender care,

the use of His powerful authority is a strong directive that He did share.

Though that amazing authority hasn’t been taught of to the needed extent,

it’s scriptural truth from Jesus, God’s Son, and something He certainly meant.

So, take to heart Luke 10:19 and James 4:7, and make the devil flee…

saying, “It is written:  Nothing shall by any means hurt me!”

P. A. Oltrogge

“Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.
For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand.”  Psalm 95:6-7

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.” Mark 16:17-19 KJV

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, ‘The just shall live by faith.’” Romans 1:16-17

“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” Galatians 3:13-14

“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”  Ephesians 2:4-10

“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter 5:6-11

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ…”  2 Corinthians 10:3-5

“Finally my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

“Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints….” Ephesians 6:10-18

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.” Isaiah 54:17

“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from my mouth; it shall not return to Me void; but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:10-11

“Protecting Your Family in Dangerous Times,” a digital book by Kellie Copeland, on relying on our covenant with God through the blood of Jesus can be obtained through: http://www.kcm.org

And/or be blessed by a small booklet, “The Authority of the Believer and How to Use It” by Billye Brim. She shares how she begins her day, taking authority over the kingdom of darkness. Available in the “Store” at: http://www.billyebrim.org

Many other previously mentioned ministries also provide books and messages on the authority of the believer…

A quote stated by minister Charles Capps: “Many Christians try to bind everything by their own words, but it is God’s Word that limits satan and stops him in his tracks.” (See Luke 4)

…from an article by Terri Copeland Pearsons in the Believer’s Voice of Victory magazine, she writes: “You could easily find yourself praying from a place of being under the pressure of a situation–a position beneath your God-given authority. Or, by an act of your faith, you can pray from a place above the pressure–where you belong. Then the circumstances must change to fall in line with God’s will because someone in a position of authority–that’s you–says so!”

Bright Blooms

“Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.” Jesus’ words in Luke 12:27

Hardy are the flowers which come up from the snow…
Hearty their spring greetings, saying winter’s soon to go.

Though their bulbs were asleep within the frozen ground,
God awakened them to rise, and spread His peace and joy around!

P. A. Oltrogge

of Jesus:

“For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” John 1:1-5

“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die…” John 11:25-26

“You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalm 16:11

“Jesus said to him, ‘If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.’”  Mark 9:23

…just as the flowers break through, so, also, God’s promises do… We’re believers, not doubters…

“…having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever…” 1 Peter 1:23

Don’t let the “SEEMS” defeat your dreams

“Jesus said to him, ‘If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.’”  Mark 9:23

When something in your life seems impossible or when you may even hear

a thought which says it can’t be possible–that’s a thought that’s clouded with fear.

For what did Jesus say to encourage…in Mark chapter 9 and verse 23?

“If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes”–Yes! We can see…

How simple it is to say, “Thank you, Jesus.  I know you’re turning things around.”

Keep using the Sword of the Spirit, so that any evil schemes which the devil tries to float will have to run aground.

P. A. Oltrogge

“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?” Jeremiah 32:27

“I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord.” Psalm 27:13-14 NASB, Ryrie

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord.” Isaiah 54:17

“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” James 4:7-8

“Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord’s, and He will give you into our hands.” 1 Samuel 17:47

“Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.” 2 Corinthians 2:14

“But Jesus looked at them and said to them, ‘With men this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible.’” Matthew 19:26

“The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, oh Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.” Psalm 138:8

“…looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith….” Hebrews 12:2

“No evil will befall you, nor will any plague come near your tent. For He will give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways.” from Psalm 91…pray the entire Psalm

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17

(…Of course it’s a given that it would not be possible to believe for anything which would be contrary to God’s will as stated in His word…)

Thanking God for Answered Prayers

You may already be doing so; but, if not, be blessed to participate in prayer as you read the articles at: http://www.ifapray.org

You can also join a regular prayer call for your state…see the site for that information.

“From prayer calls to praise reports…” by Gloria Robles is very encouraging. Scroll down to March 7, 2024 to find the entire, more detailed article. I’ve singled out only a few things in this post.

Excerpts:

Texas state prayer leader Donna Phillips shares some beautiful testimonies of how God is moving in Texas and answering prayers for our borders.

“I have been state leader for about a year now,” Donna says. “We ask God what we should be praying for, and He answers. One major issue is our borders. The Lord has told us to pray to ‘restore order to the border.’ We have seen miraculous answers recently.”

On Feb. 28, the Rev. Franklin Graham visited the border at Eagle Pass, Texas, as part of the ten-city God Loves You Frontera Tour. Graham sees this as an opportunity to share the gospel and to extend empathy to desperate people at the border. It also establishes hope for everyone overwhelmed by the border crisis. Graham wants to encourage us to pray hard for our borders, for Mexico, and for everyone affected in this national crisis.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has announced plans to build an 80-acre military base for the National Guard, with a capacity approaching 2,200 people, and with medical staff and chaplains available.

“This is a massive answer to what we have been praying for our border,” says Donna. “We have been praying against all the chaos. This facility offers them a stable place. It’s rent-free and close to the work. It’s also a place where we can see ministry taking place. We have been praying that the Rio Grande would be a baptismal place for migrants. With chaplains available, it’s closer to becoming a reality. We are praying that these migrants will meet God, and when they are sent back, they will bring Jesus and the gospel back to their countries. We pray that they will take the gospel back to their families, and rather than abandon them, they will care for them.”

Amen! Bring revival to Texas and to these migrants, Lord; may they become missionaries who bring Jesus to their nation.

Last week CBS News reported on a drug bust in Eagle Pass. U.S. Customs and Border Protection seized some 6.5 tons of methamphetamines. Valued at upwards of $117 million, this was the largest seizure at any port of entry. “This bust prevented an untold number of lives from being destroyed,” said Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent Mark Dawson. Isn’t this glorious and praiseworthy news? Now those drugs will not fall into the hands of people whose lives are threatened by their addiction or into the hands of our children. Thank You, Lord, for this victory at our border!

Major Crisis Averted

Along with praying for our borders, intercessors on the weekly calls have prayed for various things as led by the Lord. They have been praying faithfully for the elections, for state and spiritual leaders, and for an outpouring of the spirit of Elijah. Several intercessors shared that they were hearing from the Lord to pray for protection over our water supply, pipelines, power grids, and power plants. Last week the Texas panhandle saw one of the worst fires in history, the Smokehouse Creek fire. Two people have died, over 1 million acres have burned, and ranchers have lost cattle. This has been very hard to watch. The greatest threat was this fire’s proximity to the Pantex Plant, a nuclear-weapons facility located in the high plains of the panhandle. As a precaution, the plant was evacuated on Feb. 27. Prayer alerts were going out from Christians everywhere in Texas, and a miraculous thing happened almost overnight: It snowed. This slowed the fire down a bit and kept it from spreading. The Pantex Plant has since reopened. We are convinced that this was nothing short of God faithfully answering the prayers of His people.

A Lamp to my feet, a Light to my path…

I can’t start my day, Lord Jesus, without first turning to You. I need Your promised help to be able to see things through.

I need to know You’ll be walking with me, steadying me on my feet, to handle any challenges today that I might possibly meet.

Of course, I know Your assurances, as written to us in Your Word; but folding my hands in prayer to You reassures me that You’ve heard.

I’m relying on You for strength and peace and a faith that won’t retreat. On paths my feet will tread, may I “see” beside my own, Your sandaled feet.

P. A. Oltrogge
