Cast Your Burden Upon the Lord

Regarding any difficulty, a prayer…

I don’t know how, Father, that You can take care of this; but if I were to doubt Your Word, I would be remiss.

I can remind You of a chosen promise, as found in Your Word. It prospers as You send it forth over any anxious thoughts I’ve heard.

For any matter that requires my patience, I leave it in Your hands. I don’t know how You work miracles—I only know they’re in Your plans.

Jesus Christ, the same—yesterday, today, and forever. There’s no weapon formed against me that Your power cannot sever.

Thank You, Father, that You’ve already taken care of things. That’s what Your Word says, and that’s what faith in its integrity brings.

“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:10-11 NKJV

“Then said the Lord unto me, ‘Thou hast well seen; For I will hasten my word to perform it.’” Jeremiah 1:12 KJV

Recently, I received from the Lord in a particular area of need, praise God, at http://www.govictory.com through their “Morning Prayer.” The following is their invitation:

Need prayer? Join us right here on VICTORY every weekday for Morning Prayer at 9:30 a.m. ET/8:30 a.m. CT, where we pray for you live over the air. Prayer is the foundation of Kenneth Copeland Ministries. Tune in and send us your prayer request. It is our honor and privilege to pray for you and stand for your victory!  (The number: 877-281-6297)

(It’s my prayer that you are helped by inspiring Christian ministries referenced on the Porch of the Lord blog, as God has provided for us many sources of wisdom, encouragement, and support in our own walk of faith. You may already be familiar with some or all of them; but for the sake of those who might not, I refer to them here.)

Since having written the poem above, I would like to add that while we don’t know exactly how God works miracles, we do know that we cooperate with Him in certain ways–among which are, of course, through our prayers; praying in faith as we lay hands on the sick; speaking to the “mountains” in our lives, (using our God-given authority); praising Him in word, song, and through giving; meditating on and confessing His Word–thereby agreeing with Him; and another way can be through the prayer of agreement with like-minded Christian believers (Matthew 18:19).

God bless today….
