A proven way to pray for any situation that’s weighing on your heart
is to personalize scripture that covers the matter, with a verse you’ve set apart.
There are many scriptures to choose from…and that we’ve often heard.
We can thank the Lord for His faithfulness that He always keeps His Word.
Thoughts may come that challenge the integrity of the Word of the Lord,
but replace them with that very Word, the sharp and mighty sword.
A familiar thought that often comes is that “It’s likely time to quit.”
Don’t give in–instead, let thanking God keep you strong and spiritually fit.
If you’ve prayed with faith in your heart, believing that you’ve received,
there’s nothing left to do but thank Him for the thing for which you’ve believed.
P. A. Oltrogge
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.” Philippians 4:6 NKJV
“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.” Colossians 2:7 NKJV
“Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.” Colossians 4:2 NKJV
“In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Ephesians 6:16-17 NIV
