Cherished Time on the Porch

…Jesus actually said to go into your room to pray and shut the door. In this post, this fond-of-porches author writes of praying and communing with the Lord on a porch of my own imagination; but the idea is similar–a private place to meet with the Lord, preferably in the morning….

…the following are thoughts on what Jesus might say if we’ve missed taking time with Him:

Comfortable chairs, a gentle breeze–I make My porch to be a welcoming place, where you can come to meet with Me, receiving of My love and grace.

So, I was out on the porch this morning, and I was waiting there for you; but you weren’t there to greet Me, but were focused on things you needed to do.

I would have liked to share with you today and to help you with any matter; but My children don’t always seek My voice, though it’s so needed amidst this world’s chatter.

If you could realize consistently that time there with Me is well-spent, then I could give you answers to prayer that are perfect for you and heaven-sent.

Well, I hope I’ll see you tomorrow on the porch, to lead you in the way that’s right. In this world of so much darkness, My Word is your steadfast and ever-guiding Light.
