I’d like to take a moment to make a comment…that, though I referenced “About the Porch” at the bottom of today’s post, I could have prefaced the poetry with what is written there:
“The poetry on this Porch is written to reflect the author’s thoughts about various Biblical texts and topics. At times, a poem may be written as if the Lord was speaking to you, the reader, (and/or the writer). But such poems, of course, are simply reflections of what the writer perceives that the Lord might want to convey by the author’s own studies/understanding of the Scriptures.”
I wanted to convey how God sees His creation, as in: “Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good.” (Genesis 1:31)
…and, of course, to say of Jesus, His Son: “For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.” (Colossians 1:19-20)
God bless….
