“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, ‘If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed. And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.’” John 8:31-32 KJV.

“If the Son, therefore, shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:36 KJV

It’s impossible for me to be ensnared
by the devil and his demons, for I’ve been spared.

As a disciple of the Lord, continuing in His Word,
I can claim what Jesus said and rest assured.

“The Son has made me free, and I am free indeed!”
Since this is the promise, for which I have the deed,

the devil must flee from me, taking heed,
that I am “free indeed,” as JESUS has decreed…

AND JESUS AND I ARE FULLY AGREED!

P. A. Oltrogge

Postscript to the poem:

Since the blood of Jesus has permeated my entire being;
redemption through His blood is absolutely freeing!
And “in Him I live and move and have my being…” (from Acts 17:28)

”Christ purchased our freedom and redeemed us from the curse of the Law and it’s condemnation by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs (crucified) on a tree (cross).’”  Galatians 3:13 AMP

“Bless the Lord, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits:
Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases
Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindess and tender mercies,
Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”
Psalm 103:1-5 NKJV

“For in him we live and move and have our being, as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.” Acts 17:28 KJV

“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the Word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” 1 Peter 1:23 KJV

“Therefore submit to God.  Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”  James 4:7 NKJV

“Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 4:6-7 RSV

”Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”  1 Peter 5:7 NIV
