Caring Servants

There are many caring servants of God in various walks of life, but today is National Nurse’s Day.

If you have ever had a hospital stay,
and especially if no one was able to visit on a day,
you’ll remember a kindly nurse who was there
to help you through with their advice and care.

I’d like to recommend a book, written by a friend, and which is available at Amazon or on order from other bookstores. It’s title is “Nurse Georgee” by Georgia Cohen. It relates some of her experiences during her nursing career, and it tells of her Christian faith.

“…I was sick and you visited Me.”
(from Matthew 25:36)

“In That Day” and in Jesus’ Name

The Porch of the Lord

“And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” John 16:23-24

What did Jesus mean when He said “in that day…”?
Well, He was telling His disciples that He would be going away.

He was going to Calvary, and He was going to die;
but He would be raised from the dead and ascend on high.

There, in heaven, He would sit down at His Father’s right hand;
and a new day–a New Covenant or Testament would become their brand.

He had met the needs of many and His disciples each day the same;
but when He was gone, they were to start praying to the Father in His Name.

Healing Song

Can you believe you’re getting stronger?

Can you believe God’s power is stronger

than adverse things that got you down…

Can you believe God’s power is all around?

He wants to keep you sound!

Just believe….

I DO believe I’m getting stronger!

I DO believe God’s power is stronger

than adverse things that got me down…

I DO believe God’s power is all around,

and it’s His will to keep me sound!

“Jesus said to him, ‘If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.'”  Mark 9:23 NKJV

“O Lord my God I cried out to You, and You healed me.”  Psalm 30:2 NKJV

“Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.” (Ephesians 1:15-21 NKJV)

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 NKJV

A Psalm of David: “Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.” Psalm 103:1-3 NLT
